Job Description:
Experienced project manager and designer/production specialist in residential architectural design to join our creative design studio in Irvine, California. The Candidate must be extremely detailed oriented, meticulous, passionate, have the ability to multitask and be a team player. A minimum of 2 years of project management experience in the residential architectural/design industry. Individual will be required to work from firm’s office located in Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities:

Set Deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of a project.

Set deadlines, monitor, and summarize progress of projects to management team and in project management system.

Create proposals, work authorizations, and fee schedules.

Work collaboratively with lead designer/principal, senior project manager and production staff.

Manage relationships with clients, vendors and relevant stakeholders.

Create, design, coordinate, and complete projects on time and in accordance with company standards.

Design and create physical and digital presentations.

Perform quality checks on projects for completeness and accuracy in accordance with company standards and project scope.

Site visits for photo documentation, measurements, quality checks, and field inquiries.

Order, maintain and keep organized physical and digital material/product and photography libraries.

Research and learn about new building materials/products in the marketplace.

Maintain log of time spent on each project on a timely and accurate basis.

Coordinate, prepare and attend client meetings, industry events and conferences.

Some travel may be expected.
Skills and Experience:

Excellent organizational skills with strong and impeccable attention to detail.

Excellent communicator; both written and oral.

Able to manage multiple projects and people simultaneously.

Responsible and capable of meeting tight deadlines.

Ability to read, analyze and understand architectural drawings, conceptual sketches, floor plans, construction details, civil maps, and design guidelines.

Ability to carry building material samples that weigh up to 20 pounds.
Technical Skills:

Adobe – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (Required)

Project management software knowledge (Required)

Basic Windows OS and file structure knowledge (Required)

Microsoft Office Suite (Required)

Sketchup & AutoCAD (Preferable)
Education:

Minimum high school diploma or GED.

Minimum 2 years working experience or certification in project management, preferably in the residential architectural/design industry.
